Bio
Michel Wang (They/Them) is a Taiwanese interdisciplinary artist with a background in fashion design and styling. Currently based in Amsterdam, they hold an MA in Experimental Publishing from the Piet Zwart Institute, where they expanded their creative practice through text, technology, and visual storytelling.
Their practice spans performance, installation, textile-based making, and material research, exploring queer embodiment, cyborg aesthetics, repair, transformation, and belonging.
Through long-term, research-driven projects, they combine textiles, low-tech mechanisms, found materials, wearable structures, moving image, and performative rituals to explore the intersections of body, technology, identity, and Asian queer futures.
